Ocular Disease
CTGF is implicated as an important causal factor in ocular fibrosis
and neovascularization, which are pathological processes that damage
the eye and cause loss of vision. FibroGen is exploring CTGF as
a therapeutic target for the prevention of sight-threatening scarring
that is a key pathogenic factor in several eye diseases including
age-related macular degeneration, diabetic macular edema, and glaucoma. |
