Description:
FibroGen is developing FG-4539 and related compounds that upregulate
an array of cytoprotective factors (e.g., adrenomedullin, heme
oxygenase 1, GLUT-1, EPO, and VEGF) for the treatment of conditions
associated with tissue damage or injury in renal, cardiovascular, and
stroke settings.
Status: FibroGen plans to initiate a Phase 1 study of FG-4539
in 2006.
